Sun, 25 Jul 2010 14:03:46 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.9.2 en hourly 1 RAAF 11 Squadron Hosts HARS http://www.hars.org.au/2009/10/raaf-11-squadron-hosts-hars/ http://www.hars.org.au/2009/10/raaf-11-squadron-hosts-hars/#comments Tue, 06 Oct 2009 01:40:17 +0000 benmorgan http://www.hars.org.au/?p=1066 The Royal Australian Air Force recently celebrated the 70th anniversary of Number 10 & 11 Squadrons, based at Edinburgh South Australia.  The Historic Aircraft Restoration Society was kindly invited to support RAAF history by attending with our Lockheed Neptune 273, PBY Catalina and C47 Dakota.  All three aircraft made the cross country trip from home base in Albion Park some 2,000 kilometers round trip.

Both 10 & 11 Squadrons at operated the Lockheed Neptune, with 11 Squadron operating the venerable PBY Catalina.  Both squadrons operated the C47 Dakota.

HARS expresses our thanks for the hospitality of the base and the two squadrons in allowing HARS to participate in this historic event.
